This Privacy Policy describes how Northwind Pulse^™ ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with our analytics dashboard services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Northwind Pulse^™ is a business analytics service that builds and maintains custom data dashboards for creators and ecommerce businesses. We connect to your third-party platform accounts to retrieve and display your business data in a unified, actionable dashboard.

We operate as a service provider to our clients - the businesses and creators who engage us. We do not sell products directly to end consumers.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Name and email address submitted via our contact form
• Business name and account details provided during onboarding
• Platform account credentials (OAuth authorization tokens - we never receive your passwords)

Information retrieved from connected platforms on your behalf:

When you authorize Northwind Pulse^™ to connect to your accounts, we retrieve data from the following platforms as applicable to your service plan:

• TikTok: Account profile information (display name, follower count, following count, total likes, video count), video performance data (views, likes, comments, shares, duration), and account-level analytics. We access this data using the TikTok Open Platform API under the scopes you authorize.
• Instagram / Meta: Business account profile (username, follower count, media count), post and story performance metrics (reach, impressions, likes, comments, saves), audience insights, and account-level analytics. Accessed via the Instagram Graph API.
• Shopify: Order data (order totals, line items, status, dates), product data (titles, SKUs, prices, inventory), and customer data (where authorized and within Shopify's data access policies). Accessed via the Shopify Admin API.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Website session data, traffic source/medium, conversion events, and ecommerce revenue data associated with your GA4 property. Accessed via the Google Analytics Data API.

All data retrieved from third-party platforms is retrieved solely on your behalf, for the purpose of powering your dashboard.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

• Build, configure, and maintain your analytics dashboard
• Display your business data in your dashboard interface
• Send you scheduled report emails or alerts you have opted into
• Respond to your support or onboarding inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose beyond delivering your service.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your OAuth authorization tokens are stored as encrypted secrets in Cloudflare Workers, a leading cloud infrastructure provider. Your dashboard data is temporarily cached in Cloudflare KV (key-value) storage to enable fast dashboard load times.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted storage, HTTPS-only transmission, and access controls. No storage system is completely free from risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not store your data in any spreadsheets, local databases, or systems other than the Cloudflare infrastructure described above.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to deliver your service:

• OAuth access tokens are retained for the duration of your service and deleted upon termination.
• Cached dashboard data is refreshed on a rolling basis and is not retained permanently.
• Contact form submissions are retained in our email system for a reasonable period for support purposes.

Upon termination of your service, your stored tokens and cached data will be deleted from our systems within a reasonable time, not to exceed 30 days.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your business data to any third party.

We share data only with:

• Cloudflare: Our infrastructure provider, for the purpose of hosting and running our worker and storage systems. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to data processed through their systems.
• Third-party platforms (TikTok, Meta, Shopify, Google): We interact with these platforms solely as directed by you via OAuth authorization. We do not share your data back to these platforms beyond what is required for the API connection to function.
• Legal authorities: If required by law, court order, or valid legal process.

7. Third-Party Platform Policies

Our services involve connections to third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service, which we do not control:

• Shopify: shopify.com/legal/privacy
• Google: policies.google.com/privacy

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about your account
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Revoke platform authorization at any time through the connected platform's settings - revoking access will disconnect that platform from your dashboard
• Terminate your service, after which your data will be deleted as described in Section 5

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email. Your continued use of our services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
